Volunteers: A big thank you!
Summer has arrived in Eastern Iowa– and with it, plenty of parades and door-knocking.
I am so proud of the group of volunteers who is rallying behind my campaign of positive leadership. We had a great turnout to walk in the parade. My kids enjoyed the candy, while I enjoyed shaking the hands of so many voters in District 67. This was a true community effort, and many volunteers with the Robins Civic Club worked tirelessly to make this celebration fun for Robins residents and visitors. This is the kind of community spirit that makes me proud to be an Iowan. Thank you to all who walked with me, and who spent hours prepping for this great event.
This past weekend, I also had the opportunity to attend Asian Fest at the McGrath Ampitheatre. I learned more about many different cultures, and had the privilege of playing my violin on the stage. I learned and performed one of the most patriotic songs of the Philippines, Bayan Ko. I am pictured with Emma Nemecek and Althea Hasse, two volunteers who not only worked tirelessly to help coordinate the event, but have volunteered for my campaign on countless occasions. Thank you!
We will be walking in several more upcoming parades. If you’d like to walk with us, you can reach out by clicking here.
